Mattresses are accepted for disposal at your local recycling center or contact your local council for the special/bulky uplift service. (Their may be a charge for this service)

MDF can be taken to your local recycling center.
Medicines
Take washes,empty glass or plastic bottles to your local glass recycling point or you can place it in your green recycling box. Where possible buy generic non-branded medicines. These generally have less packaging than branded varieties. please do not put old or unused medicines down the drain, the toilet or in your bin.
Metal
Scrap metal can be taken to your local recycling center.
Mobile Phones and Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs)
An estimated ninety million unused phones are lying in the drawers and cupboards across the UK and only about 20% of mobiles are recycled. Mobiles can be reused and if broken can be recycled to raise money for charities. second-hand reconditioned or re-manufactured mobile phones are available through various second-hand electronic goods shops and online buying a second-hand mobile is likely to save you money and will also help prevent phones that are in good condition from being disposed of in landfill. Try to repair if possible.
Music
you can offer unwanted sheet music to a music teacher ,youth group or local school.
Nappies
