RELBUS formed in November 2010, following cuts to First Bus services between Dunbar/East Linton/Edinburgh.  The first public meeting took place in January and a committee was put in place.  The aim is to encourage bus travellers from all areas of East Lothian to join the campaign for better public transport links in the East of the County where fares are high and some services unreliable.

  1. Mr A Donnelly

Would like to know why first bus found the need to change timetable from pencaitland to haddington and also haddington to pencaitland.

This service ran with no difficulties when Don Prentice serviced this area for many years with no changes

Recently there have been a number of changes to timetable with no notification to service users.
Many people have waited for buses unaware that the times have been changed. I have already complained to east Lothian council regarding this.
and is it really neccessary to have a single decker bus running when apart from early morning for schools work etc a small sprinter bus would be adequate. I also note that the 123 no longer stops at long cram in haddington and this was used by elderly people who had GP appointments and were unable to walk the distance to centre of |Haddington. Altogether not a popular change.

Would much prefer old timetable to be reinstated. In fact would much prefer Don Prentice to take over again.
Also the worry of winter weather are the drivers from first bus willing to take such a large bus on the gifford route will be interesting to see just what happens.
