It’s that time once again when the Community Council reaches out to all the community groups and local initiatives to offer support where it’s needed.
There’s no doubt that volunteers have faced hugely challenging issues over the last couple of years. Just a few years ago it was COVID and today it’s soaring cost of living concerns. We live in uncertain times.
This uncertainty doesn’t help when volunteers are trying to deliver locally focussed resources and services. We hope that the support of your Community Council will help.
As with previous years, we’re asking you how the CC can assist, though with a particular focus on how any funding will help you kickstart, boost or reinvigorate existing or future plans for the year ahead.

2024 Funding Requests
For a community group to seek funding we ask for the following from you no later than SATURDAY the 5th of October 2024:
To help us please consider the following questions…
- What will the funds you are seeking be used for?
- How much are you seeking?
- What is the full given name of the organisation?
- The correct first point of contact for the organisation?
- Your organisation’s BACS (banking account number & sort code) details should you be successful
Whilst we cannot guarantee the Community Council will be able to meet funding requests, we will do our best to allocate what funds we have as equitably as possible.
Funding Requests: What happens next?
The Community Council will consider all requests it receives at our October 2024 meeting. Please reply to treasurer@pencaitland.org
Thanks again, to you and your volunteers for what you and they do for this community. It is because of the efforts of each and every person in trying to make a difference that we maintain local community life. We want to help you to continue your work in 2024/25.
