Connecting services

Catching a bus to get a train or vice versa? This combination appears to be very rare. A study by Colin Buchanan – fieldwork in 2006 – found that no rail passengers used the bus to get to the station. One can assume that suitable connecting services are missing or inconvenient.

A next bus passenger info board at the station might be a useful way of highlighting existing connections. (Even if it ws only the next scheduled bus passing by)

Information from the nationalrail.co.uk enquiries website – not very up to the minute?

However this is a useful service provided by NationalRail, which highlights nearby bus stops e.g. in Dunbar and related route / service information. It is a pity that the information at the Railway Station is NOT up to date.

Live train departure boards … what else?
