COASTAL EROSION WORKSHOP
Chris Coutts introduced the Forth Estuary Forum (FEM). It is an umbrella organisation principally funded by Marine Scotland. FEM has already held a workshop on dredging and Chris is now keen to set up a new group bringing together expertise on coastal erosion.
The ambition is to bring approximately 30 specialists, perhaps to Dunbar.
Kenny and Mike had introduced Chris to the East Beach and its history. The meeting attendees joined with them in a lengthy and detailed discussion about the possible causes of the sand loss and the threat that this now posed to the sea defences.

Well, you know how it is. Things happen and the minutes just get lost….somehow! So, our apologies for the delay but you may now enjoy MINUTES OF MEETINGS from our September and November meetings. We did meet in October but minutes failed to generate and updates were absorbed into notes in November. Follow the links for….Happy Reading!
We had a focussed meeting on 5th May and were very pleased to have Liz Wardaugh from Wingate TRA with us.
Lots of things to think about and catch up on… do get back to us if you have any thoughts on matters raised.
As part of the neighourhood resilience planning project, Scottish Flood Forum has helped the group to get ready for the spring storms. Two public information sessions later and all potentially affected houses have been given the chance to find out more.
