What we do

For non-specialists:
We are driven to make new molecules and compounds that are unknown. We target unusual compounds which have properties that are difficult to predict but often lead to amazing new developments. We aim to push the boundaries of what can be achieved in developing new fundamental chemistry which is exciting but challenging.

We are also interested in using these compounds to develop useful processes. We can apply these compounds to use in catalysis, where one compound facilitates the making of other compounds without being used up in the process. This will lead in the longer term to more sustainable chemistry where energy is conserved and waste is minimised.
