Synthesis
We are driven to make new molecules and compounds that are unknown. We target unusual compounds which have properties that are difficult to predict but lead to new developments. We aim to push the boundaries of what can be achieved in developing new fundamental chemistry which is exciting but challenging.

Catalysis
We apply many of these compounds in the development of useful processes, typically for use in catalysis, where one compound facilitates the making of other compounds without being used up in the process. This will lead in the longer term to more sustainable chemistry where energy is conserved and waste is minimised.
