Spring has Sprung!

What glorious weather! I for one have been out in my garden starting to sort and think about what needs to be done (too much is the answer to that).

I had the perfect Christmas present of a set of shelving and a wheelbarrow (interesting choice, I know) and am proud to say I’ve got the shelving up in my shed and have got it all organised.

There was a fair amount of rubbish to get rid of, that wouldn’t be suitable for the normal bin but thankfully, with the recycling/tip area we have, it’s not a problem to get rid of so that’s in the back of the car ready to go.

I also found loads of seed packets that I’ve kept and keep meaning to plant so, as I’ve also got seed trays (with the clear plastic tops) to propagate, I will be starting on that this afternoon. The thought of a garden full of wonderful flowers, herbs and veggies fills me with happiness.

The big job is getting my back garden created/designed (it’s a start from nothing job really). I’ve loads of plans and thoughts but need someone good to help me 1) be realistic about what I can have 2) do it all for me and 3) not charge the earth! Of course I’ve already got my composter but I want a bug hotel thing (which I might make myself) and some bird boxes (placed where the neighbours cats can’t get at them!

I’ve got lots of lovely shrubs still sitting in their pots which desperately need to get in the ground so my search for a gardener/landscape designer starts now (all recommendations welcome!)
