Dr Bike visits Belhaven Rainbows

The rainbows learn to pump up their tyres

This afternoon, Sustaining Dunbar’s bike doctors Dan and Mark, showed Belhaven Rainbows how to check that they’re tyres were properly inflated and that their brakes were working. There was time for a few fun and games with a bike obstacle course and the ‘slow race’ teaching the children basic bike handling skills.

Dr Bike visits Dunbar Cubs

Mark and Dan (ably assisted by DCG member Wendy Cuthbertson) from the Dr Bike team visited Dunbar Cubs this week at their base at the new Bleachingfield Centre. They were doing their cyclist badge. They learned how to do a safety check on their bikes, most importantly; tyres, brakes and gears, how to mend a puncture, cleaning and lubrication and keeping safe whilst riding their bikes. Look forward to seeing the posters about road safety.
