Local Food Adventures – Chicory
Our first Local Food Adventure was on a glorious sunny Saturday! We left from the Bleachingfield Centre for a lovely cycle up to Stenton.
Jo Mcnamara had been keeping her eye on some lovely Chicory all season so she knew just where to go!
We were looking for some very deep parsnip-like tap roots. Sadly these plants still had very small roots. We’ll be back in November to see what they are like then!
It was back to the Bleachingfield Centre for some Camp coffee and cake. A fine afternoon for a cycle!
