Dunbar Cycling Group members have a wealth of experience of different types of bikes and accessories including tandems, goods trailers and child-carriers which they are happy to share. The following items are usually available to borrow for a special ride or to take home for a week or two to get a feel for them. Email info@dunbarcycling.org.uk to make a request. Thanks to Cycling UK for purchasing the child seats for us through a Big Lottery ‘Awards for All’ grant’.

Front-mounted child-seat from Dutch manufactuer Yepp. It is shown here fitted to a Brompton folding bike, but fits most bikes. It doesn’t affect the bike steering as much as you might think, and carrying a child between your arms is much more sociable that hiding them away behind your back. Give it a go!
