RAGES (Rail Action Group East of Scotland) reports the good news that all ScotRail trains to and from Dunbar will stop at Musselburgh when the new timetable is implemented on May 22 2011.
As well as give students attending the Queen Margaret University the option to travel by rail from the east side of the county, it provides more opportunities for students travelling from Edinburgh.
ScotRail and Transport Scotland are looking into rail services between Edinburgh and Newcastle and considering re-opening stations at East Linton and Reston. Tonight, Dunbar people will have the opportunity to contribute and influence the outcome of this important study.

East Coast has confirmed that they will be running a 23:45 train from Edinburgh to Dunbar and Berwick on Friday and Saturday nights during August and also on Fri 3, Sat 4 and Sun 5 September. Print out this handy reminder to keep with your Sustaining Dunbar Train and Bus Timetable.
One-Ticket is scheme run by South of Scotland councils and bus/train companies which allows you to buy a single ticket for use on any bus or train. You can buy a day ticket for buses only, or you can buy a weekly, monthly or annual season ticket which would allow you to take any bus or train at any time within the specified area.
