The Hungry Hatch is a Ridge Cafe project which aims to use food waste donated from local shops to help feed people.
They extended free ‘school’ meals during the school holidays when possible; host community supers; and provide food preparation classes.
In a short amount of time this project has diverted 562.5 kg of food waste to feed people here in Dunbar.
