Dunbar Grammar School is Recycling

Waste Audits with Schools and local businessesThe Zero Waste Dunbar team is working with Dunbar Grammar School to develop it’s recycling facilities.

As of this week the school will have the facility to send cardboard, glass, cans and plastic bottles to be recycled as well. This is in line with the recycling facilities available to each household. There will be several hubs situated throughout the school, each with three bins – one for paper and cardboard, one for glass, cans and plastic and one for everything else, and each classroom will have a green and a blue bin the same as the household ones.

Eventually, instead of just recycling as much of their waste as they can, DGS would like to reduce the waste they produce in the first place.

Please help to do this by encouraging your child to bring a reusable water bottle to school.
