The consultation takes around two &#8211; three minutes and can be done easily on your phone.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Survey link:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/spottdunbarpath.org.uk\/survey\/\">https:\/\/spottdunbarpath.org.uk\/survey\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><!--more-->Anne Lyall, chair of Spott Community Association, the organisation that initiated the project, said:\u00a0<em>\u201cThe road from Spott and the crossing of the A1 are major barriers to cycling and walking.\u00a0 We are keen to provide a safe path to connect our community to the services in Dunbar, but we also want to enable Dunbar residents to get safely into the countryside.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dunbar Community Council member, Jacquie Bell who is also on the project steering group said:\u00a0<em>\u201cThough this project began with Spott, we all realised that there are huge benefits for Dunbar\u2019s large new communities south of the railway, especially the Hallhill area.\u00a0 That\u2019s why we want to collaborate on the project for the benefit of all our residents.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Following on from last year\u2019s project start-up funding, Spott Community Association have been awarded a further \u00a335,400 through Sustrans Scotland\u2019s Places for Everyone programme, which is funded by Transport Scotland, to develop a concept design for a traffic free path route. Chair Anne Lyall said:\u00a0<em>\u201cWe\u2019re really pleased to have secured this further funding, and this will enable our consultant Crispin Hayes Associates to continue developing the project for us.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Sustrans Infrastructure Officer Daniel Prince said:\u00a0<em>\u201cWe are delighted to support this project and encourage everyone to use the consultation to give their views.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This Consultation is now CLOSED but you can feedback anytime via facebook or the\u00a0 Have your Say page.
