Click the image above to see the full Scottish Government infographic.<\/figcaption><\/figure>It encourages people to take greater personal responsibility, and includes support for organisations to help solve the problem.  The consultation sets out how the Government intends to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Help people understand why binning waste responsibly matters<\/li>\n<li>Make it easy for people to do so<\/li>\n<li>Highlight that littering and flytipping are socially unacceptable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can view the consultation on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scotland.gov.uk\/Publications\/2013\/07\/6925\"><strong>Scottish Government website<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Scottish Government is inviting written responses by <strong>27 September 2013<\/strong>. Responses by e-mail should be sent to: <a href=\"mailto:EQ_CAT@scotland.gsi.gov.uk?subject=Consultation on a strategy to tackle and prevent litter and flytipping\"><strong>EQ_CAT@scotland.gsi.gov.uk<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A consultation event is expected to be held at <strong>Victoria Quay, Edinburgh, on 30 August<\/strong>. If you would like to attend or receive more details when they are available please email to the above address.<\/p>\n<p>The issue of illegal dumping and flytipping also links with a parallel consultation on proposals to create cleaner coastlines by tackling <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scotland.gov.uk\/Publications\/2013\/07\/2688\"><strong>marine litter<\/strong><\/a>.
