In an effort to foster joined up thinking the new transport Convenor Michael Veitch initiated the East Lothian Bus Forum.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><figure style=\"width: 320px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"The new 113 single decker buses being operated by East Lothian Buses connects Pencaitland and Ormiston to Edinburgh.\" src=\"http:\/\/farm9.staticflickr.com\/8190\/8104914957_cf583e3b6d_n.jpg\" width=\"320\" height=\"174\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">The new 113 single deckers being operated by East Lothian Buses connects Pencaitland and Ormiston to Edinburgh.<\/figcaption><\/figure>The first meeting took place on the 27th of November. The intention is that meetings will be held regularly, bringing together bus users, operators and other interested parties. <\/p>\n<p>The first meeting was very well attended with representatives from across the county, all the key operators and a number of ELC Councillors. A synopsis of the topics covered and who attended can be seen <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/open?id=0BxoRDEv8qJ7gNUJpTUwxQ281M00\" title=\"Bus Forum - Notes\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Intrinsic to the launch of this new group was <a href=\"http:\/\/relbus.org.uk\"><strong>RELBUS<\/strong><\/a>, short for Rural East Lothian Bus Users. This is a campaigning body intent on helping to promote better bus services across the county. We would encourage bus users to <a href=\"http:\/\/relbus.org.uk\/join\/\"><strong>join<\/strong><\/a>.
