{"id":1604,"date":"2012-05-18T08:31:08","date_gmt":"2012-05-18T07:31:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cloudcarbon.co.uk\/?p=1604"},"modified":"2019-05-19T08:52:43","modified_gmt":"2019-05-19T07:52:43","slug":"meeting-reveals-more-details-on-east-lothian-bus-routes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ourlocality.org\/pencaitland\/meeting-reveals-more-details-on-east-lothian-bus-routes\/","title":{"rendered":"Meeting reveals more details on East Lothian bus routes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>A special meeting of the Association of East Lothian Community Councils (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.aelcc.org\/\">AELCC<\/a>) devoted most of its agenda to discussing recent changes in the provision of public transport.<\/strong><\/p>\n<table border=\"0\" align=\"right\">\n<tr>\n<td><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ourlocality.org\/pencaitland\/files\/2012\/05\/avatar_reasonably_small.png\" alt=\"More details have emerged on what services will actually be in operation from June 2012.\" width=\"128\" height=\"128\" \/><\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<p>Community Councils from across the county gathered in Haddington to hear from Ian Dalgleish, Manager of Transportation Services, that:<\/p>\n<p><strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The 44B to Pencaitland is to be replaced by a 113 going a revised route Pencaitland &#8211; Ormiston &#8211; Western General.<\/li>\n<li>The flat fare structure will not apply (contrary to what Paul McLennan said at the 2 May Public Meeting in Trevelyan Hall, Pencaitland).<\/li>\n<li>The X13 Express service will be discontinued (again contrary to expectations).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ian Dalgleish is waiting for details of timetables and fares, and these will be issued in a press release as soon as the details are known (He hopes early next week).<\/p>\n<p>For the full report from Pencaitland Community Council&#8217;s representatives at the meeting <a href='http:\/\/ourlocality.org\/pencaitland\/files\/2012\/05\/AELCC-Meeting-Report-160512.pdf'><strong>click here [PDF]<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Many thanks to Phil Summerfield for putting together the report.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BUS SURVEY:<\/strong> Pencaitland has joined forces with Humbie, East &amp; West Saltoun and Bolton, Gifford and Ormiston Community Councils to find out what you want from the bus service.
