It can range from a single bin bag to thousands of tonnes of construction and demolition waste.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>Fly-tipping is everyone&#8217;s problem<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Uncontrolled waste disposal can be hazardous to the public who may come in to contact with it e.g. chemical wastes, electrical items, syringes.<\/li>\n<li>Environmental damage can result from illegally dumped waste.<\/li>\n<li>Fly-tipping looks unsightly which can have a detrimental effect on the appeal of an area or can harm investment into an area.<\/li>\n<li>Cleaning up fly-tipping costs council tax payers\u2019 money.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On the 29th April it\u2019s Pencaitland\u2019s <a title=\"Annual Pencaitland Litter Pick-up next Sunday\" href=\"http:\/\/ourlocality.org\/pencaitland\/annual-pencaitland-litter-pick-up-next-sunday\/\"><strong>Annual Litter Pick Up<\/strong><\/a>. The aim is to start at around 2pm.
