What opportunities, for local jobs and local wealth creation in East Lothian will arise from a move to a local low carbon economy?

I think I covered some of that in my other comment. More local small industry means more jobs close to the workers abode, which will cut down on travel expenses. Apprenticeships will become more important and more meaningful. Agriculture will once again rely heavily on manual labour, which means more employment in the fields. The move back to manual labour will probably be the biggest social/economic impact of a low-carbon economy.
