Get Growing

It is time to get planning and planting the next crop.  If you find it hard to find the time to just sit down and plan your garden – your not alone.

Saturday 9th November 1 pm – 3 pm at Belhaven Community Garden

If you would like to get some help to get started to plan your edible garden then this session will:

  • Give you the time and space to map your existing garden;
  • Map what has worked well for you over the years and what hasn’t worked well;
  • Share ideas with other people living in the area;
  • Plan this seasons crop of edible plants;
  • Learn about composting and how worms work, and
  • If you don’t have a garden we can try and help you find some growing ground
  • Hands on learn how to plant garlic, overwintered onions or broad beans

Rob Ford will be there on tap to answer any questions and give advice.  Rob has years of organic market gardening experience in Scotland. He designs and maintains bespoke kitchen gardens and tutors individuals, families and groups to learn how to grow their own food.
