Are you interested in Bees and have you wondered about keeping bees?
If yes then come on out February 9th at 10:30 to the Community Kitchen at the Bleaching Field Community Centre and meet with an informal beekeeping learning and sharing group.We have a particular interest in the ‘barefoot beekeeping’ methods being developed and promoted by Phil Chandler (see http://www.biobees.com/) . If you are interested to join us then that would be great!
The intention, once we have a few colonies established, is to divide these and set up as many local beekeepers as possible – but with the emphasis on helping the bees rather than maximising honey production.
