{"id":5490,"date":"2020-04-24T22:29:59","date_gmt":"2020-04-24T21:29:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/eastlammermuircommunitycouncil.org.uk\/?p=5490"},"modified":"2020-04-24T22:29:59","modified_gmt":"2020-04-24T21:29:59","slug":"weekend-collection-of-garden-waste-2nd-and-9th-may","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ourlocality.org\/elcc\/2020\/04\/weekend-collection-of-garden-waste-2nd-and-9th-may\/","title":{"rendered":"Weekend Collection of Garden Waste, 2nd and 9th May"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/eastlammermuircommunitycouncil.org.uk\/files\/2020\/04\/unnamed-e1587763473716.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-5494\" src=\"https:\/\/eastlammermuircommunitycouncil.org.uk\/files\/2020\/04\/unnamed-e1587763473716-150x150.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>A garden waste collection will take place over two weekends \u2013 2\/3 May and 9\/10 May.<\/p>\n<p>During these weekends residents should place their brown bin at the kerbside on the relevant Saturday morning no later than 07:00 and leave out until collected which can be up to 4pm on the Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>East Lothian Council crews will collect from all properties however issues may arise out-with their control where they are unable to complete a collection given the scale of the operation being carried out or due to access issues. If this occurs, ELC apologise in advance to any residents who may miss this collection. If your bin is not collected by 4pm on the Sunday please retrieve your brown bin and continue to store your garden waste until ELC have the resources available to attempt collections again.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Please follow these guidelines when presenting your garden waste for collection:-<\/p>\n<p>Do not overfill\/pack the bin \u2013 If the contents cannot slide out of the bin we cannot empty it.<br \/>\nMake sure the bin is not too heavy \u2013 staff have to be able to move the bin and the vehicles have to be able to lift the bin to empty it.<br \/>\nDo not put general waste in the bin as it will not be collected<br \/>\nIf your garden waste (Brown) bin was due to be emptied on the following dates:<\/p>\n<p>Mon 20 April<br \/>\nTues 21 April<br \/>\nWed 22 April<br \/>\nThurs 23 April<br \/>\nFriday 24 April<br \/>\nPlease present your bins for collection on Saturday 2 May for collection that weekend.<\/p>\n<p>If your garden waste (Brown) bin was due to be emptied on the following dates,<\/p>\n<p>Mon 27 April<br \/>\nTues 28 April<br \/>\nWed 29 April<br \/>\nThurs 30 April<br \/>\nFriday 1 May<br \/>\nPlease present your bins for collection on Saturday 9 May for collection that weekend.
