East Lothian has become the first area in Scotland to introduce a government-backed community rail partnership.
Covering the lines from North Berwick to Edinburgh Waverley and Dunbar to Edinburgh Waverley, the East Lothian Community Rail Partnership will work with local community groups, organisations and businesses as well as the rail industry to encourage more locals and visitors to use trains.
Its establishment comes as a result of Scottish Government policy to enhance local railways.
