{"id":30,"date":"2011-03-21T15:46:55","date_gmt":"2011-03-21T15:46:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ourlocality.org\/dunbarshoreandharbour\/?page_id=30"},"modified":"2025-06-06T13:53:33","modified_gmt":"2025-06-06T12:53:33","slug":"home","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ourlocality.org\/dunbarshoreandharbour\/home\/","title":{"rendered":"What are we about?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ourlocality.org\/dunbarshoreandharbour\/files\/2013\/05\/dsh.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-426\" src=\"https:\/\/ourlocality.org\/dunbarshoreandharbour\/files\/2013\/05\/dsh-150x150.png\" alt=\"Civic Week Flyer 2013\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>After a series of open meetings in 2010 instigated by East Lothian Tenants&#8217; and Residents&#8217; Panel, the Dunbar Shore and Harbour Neighbourhood Group was formally constituted on 18 February 2011.<\/p>\n<p>The aims of the group are to :<\/p>\n<p>a) positively contribute to the environmental improvement initiatives in the neighbourhood.<br \/>b) initiate and support new environmental improvements in the neighbourhood.<br \/>c) safeguard and promote the interests of tenants and residents in the neighbourhood on matters concerning housing and social and community life.<br \/>d) uphold equal opportunities and work towards good relations amongst all members of the community.<br \/>Membership is open to all who live or work in the shore and harbour neighbourhood area broadly captured by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>The harbours<\/li>\n<li>Victoria Street<\/li>\n<li>Lamer Street\/Shore Street\/Woodbush<\/li>\n<li>Woodbush Brae<\/li>\n<li>Church Street<\/li>\n<li>Castle Street<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As shown in the map at the end of the page.<\/p>\n<p>It costs nothing to join and meetings are currently held every month currently via Zoom .
