Off-shore wind farms

There are plans for over  1000 (one thousand) wind turbines off the coast from Eyemouth to Montrose. What will the communities along the south east of Scotland get from this?

These wind turbines will produce enough electricity to power all the washing machines, in every home, on the South East coast. We cannot store that electricity.

There is going to be enough wind energy to wash our clothes every windy day. How about an off peak electricity price when it’s windy? Just like the off peak electricity we used to get at night time. A windy day is a good day to wash clothes.

Should we have an off peak rate when it’s windy?

Your opinion counts.
