UPDATE ON PREVIOUS PRIORITIES

Provided verbally by PC Hutchison.  Decrease in call demand re Priorities 1 and 2. Work which has been undertaken was discussed by both Police/Jimmy Wilson.

Meeting cancelled

Due to Coronavirus I am cancelling the Dunbar CAPP meeting that was due to take place on Tuesday 31st March and shall not be attending any community council meetings.

As per the letter attached from Supt MacInnes all police attendance at such meetings is temporarily suspended and I shall be back in touch when we are a position to return to business as normal.

In the meantime please don’t hesitate in making contact with any issues you have affecting you or your communities that you think I may be able to assist with.

Outdoor Access Complaints received about walkers being made to feel unwelcome at a specific rural locus.  Liaison required with  East Lothian Council Access Officer and landowner regarding the Land Reform Act Dunbar Community
Changes to road layout at west approach to East Linton Contact East Lothian Council regarding a possible safety issue with a change in road layout, Dunbar Community

Update on January Priorities:

Jim and Jemima

Only sited when on dayshift, been out in various locations throughout the area and a lot of good feedback on social media.

Ashfield playpark

Area patrolled, no further sightings or reports of youths back at the park.

Parking at junction of Silver, Colvin, Castle and Church Street junction

Obstruction viewed, generally the same vehicle.  Been to the registered keepers home address on three occasions but no reply, will try again prior to meeting.

During the last plan period the community’s greatest concerns were antisocial behaviour; people using and dealing drugs in the area; and speeding and inconsiderate driving.

Last Month’s Priorities

Cut out cops.

Jim and Jemima located in Stenton and Innerwick on two occasions.

West End of Brodie Road

Foot and mobile patrols conducted in the area on a number of occasions at different times of day. Residents approached officers and appeared glad to see the attention being given to the area.

Innerwick vandalism

A number of complaints have been received regarding the behaviour of youths resident in Innerwick rather than Thurston Manor visitors. Some of the behaviour reported was dangerous so a short talk was done at Innerwick Primary School on Friday 1 st November by Community Officers. No reports of further issues since then
