Update on last month’s priorities

Youths and adults cycling on pavements:

Issue brought up at school assemblies. Primary JRSO and teacher representatives contacted.

Speeding in 20mph trial zones

Speed checks conducted at both location on the afternoon of Friday 19 th
October.

Browns Place, East Linton: 20 vehicles had their speeds checked, 5 stopped
and issued warnings, 1 stopped and issued fixed penalty ticket for doing 31
mph.

Queens Road: 15 vehicles had their speeds checked, 5 stopped and issued
warnings, 1 stopped and charged for doing 35mph and will be reported to the
procurator fiscal.

It is our intention to conduct a further speed check this afternoon prior to the
meeting.

Parking complaints in East Linton

Parking attendants contacted and request made for East Linton to be given
more attention.
