ACTIONS UPDATE AND PROGRESS REPORT.

Priority Actions to be Undertaken Person responsible.
Speeding on Brodie Road, Dunbar Conduct hand held speed gun enforcement on Brodie Road following reports of increases in speeding traffic.

Attend meeting on this issue on 2nd November.

Dunbar Community Policing Team.
Young persons alcohol and substance abuse Conduct evening patrols and drug and alcohol awareness talks at Grammar school. Dunbar Community Policing Team
Obstructions on Dunbar High Street Conduct patrols and deal with vehicle obstructions blocking the highway. Dunbar Community Policing Team

Update on priorities:

Speeding on Brodie Road, Dunbar

Speed check conducted on 19th October. Two tickets issued in quick succession.

Young persons alcohol and substance abuse

Foot patrols conducted, multiple engagements with youths. Arrangements being prepared for school inputs.

Obstructions on Dunbar High Street

Numerous drivers moved on. Some discretion for delivery drivers but problem particularly bad on Friday and Saturday evening when persons are collecting takeaway food.

Other ongoing policing issues:

Thefts of bikes, numerous reports to police and many others reported on social media but not reported to police. Enquiries ongoing and expectation is that at least one youth will be charged in the near future.
