Where will get our food in the future?

Local Food Event, 7.30-9.30pm, Monday 10th October 2011, Dunbar Town House

You are invited to take part in a discussion and planning event concerning how we ensure a resilient local food supply in the face of peak oil, climate change and economic dislocation.
You may be aware that Sustaining Dunbar has been developing a fifteen year community action plan to provide a guiding framework for creating a vibrant, sustainable and resilient future for Dunbar and District.
This plan builds on extensive research and community consultation over the past couple of years.
The intention of this Food Evening is to focus on the food strand of this ‘Local Resilience Action Plan’, bringing together people from the local area with different involvement and interest in our food economy to discuss the Action Plan and its implementation.
We would welcome your participation in this event and hope that you will be able to attend.
Further details will be circulated shortly, in the meantime please could you let me know as soon as possible if you are able to come, and put the date in your diary now.
Please feel free to circulate this invitation to anyone else who may be interested.
