Volunteering at Belhaven Community Garden

It’s an exciting time of year for growing! The weather is finally turning and it’s time to get out there and get ready for planting.

This year, we’ll be hosting regular monthly volunteering days at Belhaven Community Garden, working on one of Sustaining Dunbar’s Incredible Edible Dunbar and District plots where we grow food for volunteers, the hospital, families, learning events. This is your chance to get your hands dirty, learn more about growing in a friendly, informal environment, and be part of what we do here at Sustaining Dunbar.

Any Sunday from 10:30 to 1:30 we’ll be planting seeds and weeding.  All ages and abilities are welcome, both experienced and complete beginners. Please bring suitable clothing for the weather and lots of elbow grease! We will provide all the tools and equipment, and some tea and biscuits too.

Any questions, feel free to get in touch with info@sustainingdunbar.org. If you’re not able to come to this session but would like to help out at future volunteer days, drop us a line and we will keep you informed.
