A public meeting in 2010, to discuss a proposal to build allotment gardens at Winterfield Park, prompted a handful of Dunbar residents to form a group known as Friends of Winterfield Park.

We love this unique open space and our aim is to preserve Winterfield Park as an amenity; providing open and recreational space for the town of Dunbar and its surrounding communities.
We are a local community group, working with East Lothian Council and local organisations to meet our aims. We’ve been successful this year in getting funding for several projects including a picnic area, new benches and bins and a regeneration of the Main Gate area. Work to install these will take place over the summer.
Winterfield Park is a unique open space. Why not pay it a visit? If you’d like a say in how the park is run; would like to provide practical help or have an idea then please join us as a friend. Membership is free.
